Artist Positions


UI/UX Designer 

Pixel Sprout Studios is looking to add a UI/UX Designer to our Art team to create and design UI/UX elements for Sun Haven and future titles. We would like to add a member to our team who has excellent design sense, as well as the ability to iterate on feedback.

The ideal candidate for this position is an individual who has a strong game design sense, a repertoire of hundreds (if not thousands) of games, and is well fa
miliarized with running A/B tests to optimize the player experience. This position will require an individual who can design and rework the overall UX for multiple game titles to be compatible with growing game visions and user experience goals.

  • Create prototypes and mock-up designs to test UI that our art team will fully render at the very end

  • Create UI icons, elements, and other interactable assets that will translate well into pixel art

  • Create A/B tests in order to iterate on user experience, general flow, and usability of all player facing content (games, websites, store pages, etc.)

  • Contribute to making games feel smooth and rewarding through improving game feel and clarity

  • Communicate feedback on current designs with in-depth user experience analysis 

  • Collaborate with multiple teams (including Artists, Writers, Engineers, Sound Designers, and Producers) to create in-game content for Sun Haven

  • Iterate on design feedback to make art assets in line with Pixel Sprout’s style and direction

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong Familiarity with Video Game UI

  • Strong visual design skills

  • Ability to design with intuitive functionality in mind

  • Ability to analyze A/B tests to optimize the user experience

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to produce consistent iterations

  • Ability to work between several assets at the same time 

  • Excellent spoken and written communications skills

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Ability to create and/or animate pixel art in a 24x24 and 32x32 pixel density

  • Ability to mimic Sun Haven's pixel style

  • Ability to show a diverse range of animation styles

  • Knowledge of multiple art programs (ie Photoshop, Sai, Aseprite, Clip Studio Paint, etc)

  • Experience with Agile development processes
